Julia Othmer’s voice is vibrant and emotionally potent. The child of refugees, Othmer draws from a richly cultured palette of experience to inspire her intensely human yet otherworldly songs. She is one of seven artists selected to represent the USA for Global Music Match 2021.
Memphis-raised singer-songwriter Kelly Hunt paints stories as old and off-beat as her Depression-era tenor banjo. Kelly’s debut album “Even The Sparrow” met with widespread acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, No Depression & AmericanaUK and was named a finalist for the International Folk Music Awards “2019 Album of the Year.” She is joined for this performance by her long-time collaborator Staś Heaney.
Poet Jen Harris is a writer based in Kansas City, Missouri. A sought-after performance artist, Harris is the co-host of Confessing Animals Podcast, interviewing seasoned and fresh-faced artists of every genre to discuss how to make creativity work within the complexities and challenges of adult life. She is the founder and host of The Writing Workshop KC.
Vanessa Aricco is a multimedia poet exploring conflict and duality, the precarious nature of life, and the anxiety that arises from it. She is a Charlotte Street Foundation 2019-21 Studio Resident in Kansas City, MO, where she’s been working on a third poetry album called Teenage Poetry.
